How Can severe Leg Pain In A 6 Year Old Boy Be Treated?
I have a 6yr old son, and the last couple of nights he has been saying that his legs feel weird . I thought maybe its growing pains which hes had many many nights before. Growing pains were solved with some ibuprofen and a little massage, but this is different. He said he cant describe the feeling. i asked is it tingly, itchy, numb, does he feel like he needs to walk around, and he said no to all of them. I know hes tired because hes cying but he cant fall asleep because of the weird feeling, any ideas?
As the pain is confined to knee joint it has to be evaluated thoroughly as it can be an early sign of serious arthritis related conditions. As of now you can give him Ibuprofen and consult with an orthopedician at the earliest.
